Picture of the Day: The Front End

Here's another EVO IX doing it the right way. Voltex front bumper and Varis carbon bonnet combo, and throw in a set of Voltex twin canards for the finish. Bon appetit!

JDMEGO's EVO IX

I hope JDMEGO doesn't mind me sharing his brilliant masterpiece on here. Attention to detail is maxed out, with ridiculous components like a Voltex Type 9 wing, a beautiful built engine, and Voltex aero all around. I wish more people put as much attention into detail as he did. The ARC titanium strut bar is one of my favorite ARC pieces ever, too bad they didn't develop the one they prototyped for the EVO X into production. Check out all his pics in the link below!

Tokyo Auto Salon 2012: Details

Seeing the details of the Varis widebody kit, I am interested to see what Voltex could potentially do with a widebody kit on the EVO X. The amount of details necessary for a fully functional and aesthetically pleasing aero kit are huge, and it's never an easy job to complete. There are things I don't like about the Varis kit like the exposed rivets, "empty" fender vents, etc. but it's functional and I'm excited to start seeing these pop-up on cars around the globe. I hope Voltex responds with a kit of their own, as Varis has shown us that there is a market and money to be made selling these kits.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2012: Varis Widebody, Take Two!

Looks a helluva lot better in black. Very sinister looking X.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2012: Toyota GT 86 TRD Edition

Not bad looking. Here is the TRD edition of the GT 86. The commentary on this car has already been exhausted but the tuning possibilities have just begun. I like the TRD version better than some of the other examples I've seen so far, especially with the front lip and rear trunk spoiler adding aggressiveness to the car's profile. Good to see a Toyota presence at the Auto Salon again.

Picture of the Day: Varis Widebody EVO X

Here's a look at the Varis x Auto Produce Boss EVO X widebody at Tokyo Auto Salon. The kit draws on the familiar Varis front bumper but adds a wider profile to it. I think it's a step in the right direction, and I'm excited to see it on the track. I'm not sure everything flows perfectly, but I will wait for more pictures and some better looking wheels (yack, red wheels?). Picture courtesy Varis at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2012.
